    Biscuit Abuse

So anyone can make an idea on their own: - Evander: 19 yo 73 overall, compassionate, gentle, anonymous, stable, Half hearted - Hare (5'6", 165 pds for a defender): 19 yo 76 overall, cocky, tough, childish, anxious, half hearted - Mainella: 19 oy, 74 overall, responsible, tough, modest, heroic, Lazy - 30 ranked player: Larue: 17 yo, 72 overall, Friendly, tough, respected, stable, half hearted for 5th ranked (Koekefix has the second but let's see with the worst possible option): Senko (goalie), 17 yo, 85 overall, arrogant, agitated, impressive, stable, enthousiatic Is this a fair trade? To Koekefix: There is actually nothing to explain. You can't argue this is not an abuse. Anyone that is having a look to the players you traded can see that. This is why I prone a computer trading free system, because this will keep going on and on forever. You are getting your own medicine, you appreciate? I quit Collegeville and started with the worst LIHL team so this stops. Are you going to do the same? Reggie Dunlop

To Koekekix: You knew when you made this trade (day 66) that Collegeville would finish 2nd in SHL, so no chance it becomes a fifth (worst would be a 4th). There was no chance you pick gets better than a 12th. You traded a bunch of low 2nd and 3nd round prospect for a top player in your league for 15 years. You should get at least a 17 yo goalie that is over 83 with good traits. The best player you gave is 19 yo with a 76 overall. Please explain to me how Collegeville is a attractive for a new GHL manager with the trade you just made. This is an obvious steal, an abuse and this is cheating. You, among all, should know better. You no longer have any right to argue about abuse of trading computer because you clearly don't respect the rules you want other managers to follow. Reggie Dunlop

My mistake: add: - Hare, 19 yo, 76 overall Doesn't change my mind. A bunch of useless players in GHL for a 2nd pick overall.

Deadwood Vandals trade on day 66: - Mainella, 19 yo, 73 overall - Enander 19yo, 74 overall - 2nd GHL pick for 1st SHL pick (top 4 GHL pick, actually 2nd pick overall) Your right. I really don't get what is different from this trade from my previous one. If this is not an abuse of computer trade ... Reggie Dunlop

Steve: Interesting. No, I don't lump everyone all together. Isn't what I met. But you really don't think that getting suspended three weeks later isn't a bit excessive? I have stop trading after day 21 after promotion. I bet this team I've wrote about earlier will never get suspended, so I'm really sceptical it has nothing to do with what I wrote or else. Time will tell. Koekefix: Stop writting that your write for "all manager". You don't. Stop writing that your way is the way "like it should". It isn't your game more than everyone else. Stop writing for people that builded their team. You took your team in GHL starting season one. I do get your point. I just disagree and was honest about what I think of your own personal rules right after your first post about my team. "End of story". I can manage with the fact that other people thinks differently, that's all. Do you? Anyway, this is useless (I think we will all agreed on that). Reggie Dunlop

Which brings us back to the initial question: what is an abuse? First, find me anywhere a definition written by Anders of what is considered as an abuse? Good luck. Second, yes I received a message from Koekefix and was quite clear I didn't agreed on what I consider being an abuse or not. Just a question: Do you think all your trades with computer teams as been considered as fair by everyone? Do you think those trade has always been fair? The whole "would you do this trade yourself" is a bogus question. If you do a trade, it's because you team is getting better with this trade. There isn't 5% of the trades done with a computer team that would be accepted from a human manager and this is true for all trades done by all managers. I was honest right from the start and decline any power you and Koekefix gave yourselves to fix rules in Biscuit. Thirdly, and more important, why do you think it is so hard to get other managers to report abuse? Why other manager don't pay attention to trades with computers? Did it really took three weeks, or 5 or 10? You wrote that my "abuse" has been going on for a year, how come it took a year to get suspended if it was so obvious? My point right from the start was that your definition of what is an abuse isn't shared by everyone and maybe not that many people after all. Would it be so hard to get me suspended if I was wrong about that? This is a forum and should be a place where we can share some idea. Just read previous posts on this topic. As soon as someone give a different point of view about abuse, there is a pack of managers who thinks the same way (GHL teams) that tries to shut him up. How can you know what other managers think with this kind of behavior? If you don't understand now, you won't ever. Reggie Dunlop

And, may I ask, what happened within those three weeks (21 games) so what isn't considered as a abuse three weeks earlier becomes an abuse three weeks after? Maybe that I got closer to GHL since I was one of the top two teams in SHL? Maybe because I wrote on the forum that I disagreed with some managers? It actually proves my point: it has little to do with the abuse itself, but about whom is concerned. My tip wasn't perfect, but at least simple. If yours is realistic, nothing against it, but it seems far more complicated for Anders.

Tips to Anders to prevent abuse with computer teams: Put top 2 lines, top 4 def, 1st goalie and 1st draft pick as untouchables.

I just took a quick look to see how my team was doing without me. Pretty good actually, will probably be in GHL next season. I was surprised about a trade that took away two of my top players, Schmitz, 87 overall, and Redondo, 84 overall, against, at the best, average players and a 3rd round GHL pick. This same player has traded two days earlier a very good 20 years old center for a crappy 33 y.o. and a prospect goalie (a 2nd round GHL pick, interesting ...). No suspension, no hasty post. This manager has been playing in GHL since season 2 but never ended the season in the top 6 teams and is actually close to relegation this season. Interesting ... I was suspended 3 weeks after my latest trade. So was I suspended because of my trades or because I wrote on the forum that I disagreed with some other managers? Isn't that just as an abuse of the game mecanics? Anyway Biscuit. Thanks for prooving my point that this hole abuse thing is just so the best managers keep their edge on other players and that you have nothing to be afraid of if you keep your mouth shut and don't win too often. Great job on keeping competition away from this world. Reggie Dunlop

To Rainsilent: As you can guess, I have very little consideration for your advices, now more than ever. So I don't see that happening in the near futur. I was wondering how you would react to my last little comment and you reacted as expected. You're a bad loser, stubborn and without any sense of humour. Your only argument is "this is cheating and this is bad and I'm really really not happy about it" without trying to understand anything else from your point of view. I get it. I don't think we have anything do with each other from now on, at least I don't. Reggie Dunlop

To Erzac and Steve: Thanks arguing in a civil way. We disagree and only time will tell how this world evolves. To Koekefix: I was actually quite clear that I disagreed with what you consider being this game rules. I don't consider anything I've done this season as cheating. I consider that this game is as much mine as yours. But we might work something out ... To Rainsilent: "Poorly though and exceptionnally weak". Really? So anyone that thinks differently than you is stupid? Just a clue: writing the same thing over and over again doesn't make it true. But this is actually quite boring for everyone. So to spice it up a little and see if "your money is where your mouth is", here is the deal. If I make it to playoffs in GHL next season, I choose 4 players on your team that you'll have to, basically, give me. If I don't, I'll, basically, give you my first prospect next season (top 4 draft) and my first pick for the season after (should be at least high GHL first draft pick). Keep in mind that all odds are against me and that I may not reach GHL this season. If that happens, I'll just quit the world and apologize. Here is the interesting part for everyone: I won't do any trade with a computer team until the end of next season. If you accept, I expect that you'll have the same fair play you are asking me. No tips to my opponents (even if I'm not that afraid of your tips). I might be what you need to win your first golden cup (you know you deserved this one, we are even now). So do you chicken out or you are in? Reggie Dunlop

Here an answer from one of those two SHL top teams that Steve refered to. I manage Collegeville Rhinos. I started to play in this world a 1 season and half ago in BHL. I started with one of those awful teams that as been managed by the computer for a while. By the way, I don't think a new manager will ever get a competitive team right away because it either has been managed by the computer (so not competitive) or by a manager that left the team (so not competitive). But this is another issue. So I started with a crappy team. I made a lot of trades with computer and signed some free agents. I wasn't always fair with the way I used free agents to make trades. My apoligies if I ruined anyone experience. But, computer team trading is a whole different thing. Computer trade isn't cheating and everyone has the exact same opportunity to trade with computer teams. This system isn't perfect but it's the same system for everyone. But, again, this is another issue. My point is that what's really keeping new players from joining this game isn't computer trading. What's keeping new players from joining this game is the huge edge teams from GHL have on any other teams in this world because they get the best prospects (first two rounds so best 30 prospects every season) and the best free agents seasons after seasons. And this edge gets bigger and bigger. They get the best propects, keep the best players in their teams and sign the best free agents. How will I ever compete with a team like, for an example, the Deadwood Vandals, that have been playing in GHL for 7 seasons? Steve is right: what is the real worth of a 1st pick in SHL. 72-74 overall rating with average traits if you are lucky. And I don't even botter about lower leagues drafts. Let's have a look to those chances. If (this is a big IF) I finish first in SHL this season, I will have one of the top 4 prospects in the next draft. For an example, a 80 overall goalie with good traits. Right now, my best player is 86 overall, and a 85 goalie, I have a few 81-83 and mostly 80 overall players. If I'm lucky, I might sign 1 or 2 players over 85 overall, a few 83-85 as free agents. How will I compete with the top 4 GHL teams? And that is with a lot of computer trading. So my point is if a new manager doesn't make computer trades, he will never compete with the top teams in this world. And time won't help because the edge just gets bigger and bigger. So is computer trading is a problem or the answer to a bigger problem?
