  1. What about a max contract limit? Should also help cut down on exploiting the computer in trades. Example 4 poor players for 1 good player. A full roster for a team is 20 players. Maybe a max of 25 contracts?
  2. What in the LITERAL FUC...... No wait... you're right DANG
  3. Thanks Matt! When I signed in it was simulating. I refreshed it a few minutes later and it was back on the game clock. The day never switched over but I never noticed. Just a little too excited to get the season going.
  4. False alarm. It's still showing we are on Day 77. My bad, I'm an idiot LOL. Hopefully be fixed when the season flips over.
  5. I was just promoted to the GHL in Buscuit and it's not letting me sign any FAs. I have 35M in cap space but it keeps telling me I don't have enough cap space to sign players. It's showing my finances for next season are at -17M.
  6. Made a trade in clapper and now have the player I aquired twice on my roster. http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=39711 Hope the player link helps. No rush, just wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks!
  7. Hey Guys, It's that time again that I sell off my highly rated players who I won't be able to afford to re-sign. As I write this I am sitting in 3rd place, 8 points behind the 2nd place team in the SHL. I know that there is a slim chance I may be able to catch up, but I'd rather get the conversations started beforehand in case I don't. This happened to me last season where I waited too long, ended up sending out a bunch of offers in the final days of the season, and not having any of them accepted. As always if you have any questions or want to talk trade, send me an offer or a message. I won't be accepting any trades for a few "game" days in case I am able to climb in the standings, but if I go on a losing streak then it's go time. Benjamin Olli 86ovr 20yo Defense Left Olli is on the final year of his entry level contract, and I doubt I will have the cap space to fit him in next season. He is currently leading my team in points. Evann Henaini 85ovr 30yo Defense Left Henaini is in the final year of his contract and is making 2.5M, but does not have a promotion clause in his contract. I also have two Forwards, 80 and 81 overall, on my tradeblock that I'm willing to move. I'm looking to get left handed defensemen to replace the big two I'm looking to move. Could also use a 3rd line Center. Willing to look at all options.
  8. Hey guys! I have a bunch of players in the final year of their contract, who I won't be able to resign. I am currently sitting in 6th place in the SHL, and don't want to take the risk of losing players for nothing. Ty Mc-Tavish C 20yo 88ovr Left Mc-Tavish has been traded Soren Bach F 20yo 84ovr Left Bach has been traded. Verner Modin D 28yo 83ovr Right Modin has been traded. Malek Dalcourt F 26yo 82ovr Left Dalcourt is making 1.5M and does NOT have a promotion contract. Holger Hogstrand C 26yo 81ovr Left Hogstrand is making 425k and DOES have a promotion clause in is contract. Feel free to send offers or a message if you wanna talk trades. Motivated to trade and will look at any offer!!
  9. I agree that the prospects are way too good. I drafted an 83ovr player with the 46th pick (14th in the SHL 1st round) who was rated 45th overall. At the very most I should be getting a 70-75ovr player with that pick.

    Trades S9

Hey guys, it doesn't look like I will be able to promote from the SHL this season so I have some guys I have put on the trade block. As always, send an offer or message and we can talk. Very motivated to trade. Arthur Bratt 20yo 85ovr Forward/Sniper RH - Bratt has been traded Topias Jarvenpaa 28yo 85ovr Goalie - Jarvenpaa has been traded Thanks to everyone who either reached out to me, or sent offers. Hopefully we can do business in the future. I have also taken the other 2 players off the block since I am now in a playoff spot. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season!

    Trader S8

Hey guys. Currently I am in 15th at the 3/4 mark of the season. I'm at the point where relegation is most like going to happen and I am looking to unload players. I have put players that are on 1 way expiring contracts on the trade block. Basically any player that I can't take to the SHL with me is available. I am looking for prospects and picks but would prefer younger players (under 30) with term that I can take with me down to the SHL. Around the 50-55 game mark I will start putting players on multi year deals on the trade block. All offers will be considered or just message me and we can talk about players. It was a fun 2 seasons playing with you guys and hope to back up soon!!

@rainsilent I already said I agree with the statement made about the low human leagues. I will admit that it never crossed my mind before, but thanks for commenting only on my first post. This topic always gets me fired up when talked about, even back in our HD days. We have been discussing this for over two years now, and I don't want to have to discuss it for two more. We have identified a problem and we need to find a solution. My intention wasn't to "pigeon hole" people, but to inform a certain number of GM's that we see through their reasoning. Your idea of having low human leagues allowing computer trading can work, but it will need some help. All the league needs is a new GM to join (while still being under the set limit to allow computer training) and start exploiting the computer GMs. What if we paired those leagues up with moderators? The only change I would make is to have the moderators be from a different game world. That way, hopefully, there should be no bias. Have an odd number of moderators per league that needs them and have a majority rules. I would even volunteer to be a moderator just to help the cause.

    Biscuit Abuse

I definitly agree with you about the leauges that have a low amount of human GMs. All I meant is that if you want to completely eliminate GMs abusing the CPU in trades then blocking trades with CPU is the only real way to do it. I remember when the draft was introduced I asked that players not be able to trade for picks or prospects of CPU teams. Maybe it's time to revisit that idea to start?

    Biscuit Abuse

Unfortunately there is only one true way to eliminate this sort of behavior from the game and that is to simply not allow trading with computers. Will it be harder? Yes, but isn't that the point? To make the game realistic? If these kind of trades aren't realistic in the real world, why should they be on GPH? The idea is to grow the game and have all of the teams be owned by humans. New GMs aren't going to stick around if they aquire a team that has been picked clean and filled with ridiculous contracts that were handed out by other GMs. Who would want to stay and play a game with poeple who would do that? I understand that this comment will receive some heat, but let's be honest... If you really want computer trading to be left in the game, we all know the real reason why.
