#32139 v1.3.2

Posted by koekefix on January 10, 2018 - 03:28 PM

I'm playing this game for 2,5 years now and the last 2 seasons I had double the injuries then usual. I'm not the only one if you checked the topic. This happened since this or previous update. And as said this has been acknowledged by Anders...

Sure when you look at it the GHL is always better. Compare it with the NHL if you like and it should be like that as well. Otherwise create a league without relegation and more teams.

It changed too much in the latest patch(es) and thus you need a complete new approach. For instance all the work I've put together in the last 12 seasons seems like it's for nothing or almost for nothing. And I'm sure other managers will agree. I'm not against updates or patches, on the contrary, but in my opinion this is a bit of a killer.

#30949 Trade abuse with computers

Posted by koekefix on November 07, 2017 - 06:27 AM

Although I like all the attention when I make a trade, this topic is clearly another attack against me. If you look closely in every level, there are trades with the CPU. Unfair or fair is subjective as every manager will say otherwise.

Regarding the Betts trade I explained it in the chat. Honestly I don't even know why I should explain myself. This is a solid trade and it was unbalanced on my part. I talked with several managers about it, some say I won but others said I gave too much.

It's pathetic to see that this trade is again the center of attention as there have been many before and there will be many after as long as you can trade with CPU.

And if you want to attack me as a player and saying I made other unfair trades and abused the system, please give examples and say which cheat I used. Very sad topic and should be removed in my opinion.

Just a fact, I have several young players (21 yrs and younger) that didn't even gain a skillpoint this season. We are 19 days in the new season and I'm not talking about OVR.

There are 2 players that are 19 and both first round picks that didn't gain any skillpoint this season. That's a bit too much if you ask me.

#30933 v1.3.2

Well development really slowed down in my opinion. I can see it in the stats I'm saving on a weekly base. My young guns are developing not even half the speed as before the last update. And that's what Steve meant for a part with the strategy. Managers looking for top young prospects and trading accordingly. But if they are developing slower it's not worth the trade or for less then they should be traded.

Unfortunately, some of us may have assumed the quick accession of players abilities would continue and have made player changes (trades, signings, drafts, etc) based on previous givens that may no longer be true.

This.

I like most of the changes but sometimes it's hard to adapt and pick a playstyle or strategy with it.

#30844 v1.3.2

Posted by koekefix on October 31, 2017 - 01:32 PM

It's always better for a player to play games that being scratched on your main roster, regardless of league level.

It's not supposed to increase injuries for healthy players. I will monitor injuries to see if further adjustments is needed.

Day 6 in the new season and injury number 4. One of my top 6 forwards out for 7 days, had green fit as all my players. Seems like a déjà vu from last season...

So injuries is something to monitor for sure.

Just something I noticed as well, again not here to complain, training has been slowed down a lot.

If I compare it with previous patches the training is very slow and players don't pop that often.

Usually I had every 2 days a player that popped, I'll admit maybe a bit too fast.

Now we are 12 days in the new season (Biscuit) and only 2 players popped in my team.

For the record, I have 39 players and 20 of them are 25 years of age or younger and ambition is very high in my team.

#30440 Traits

Posted by koekefix on October 18, 2017 - 01:29 AM

@rainsilent:

I was one of the first to congratulate Marauders with the cup and if he beats the best 3 teams, he deserves it. Hanrahan didn't do it by himself, but he was the best man for sure.

Don't forget Hanrahan robbed a game against you as well. I think the previous patch had some flaws regarding scoring as well.

#30285 (S11) National Teams

Posted by koekefix on October 09, 2017 - 06:54 AM

Hi everyone,

I thought it would be cool to create national teams. I started off with Canada and USA as they have the biggest pool of players to select from. Please note that this is just a shortlist I created and what I thought are the best OVR players in Biscuit. I changed some centers to forward as they would be better in that position ofcourse.

Please feel free to change or discuss the teams. And if you want to create one of your own or from another country, that would be nice as well. So I always selected 6 centers, 10 forwards, 8 defenders and 3 goalies.

I wonder how these teams would end up in a best of seven :-)

Oilers go 82-0-0.

And get sweeped in the first round.
