  1. By The way, when you offer a contract to a player... Sometimes he will reply: Charles-Eloi Garrod wants a 4 year contract with a salary of $48 750 per year. He also wants the following cluases:
  2. Only one sample, but so far you were right Bob...
  3. Thanks for your Question Bob, I definitely understand that there is many possible factors in play here... But if you look at the numbers, those are really huge difference. I would like to recall that we are going from a 81 Performance average to a 56 with a 8 goal allowed in 8 games to a 21 goals allowed in 6 games while at the same time the goaltender was improving from 62 overall to 65 overall... Nonetheless I find your question interesting, so here's the information: Regarding your Fitness question, in the table above the last column correspond to the "round" (or days) my goaltender played, and the second to last column is the rating. So if you look at the first sample, in those first 8 games you will see that my goaltender was the start up for 4 games in a row (game #16-17-18-19) achieving a not too bad performance rating of 80-89-72-78 allowing 5 goals in those 4 games the game #18 been the worst. So, even after 4 consecutive game he was still able to achieve 78 Performance, but allowing only 1 goals with a SV% of 96.6% Now if we look to the second sample (after round 21) he never played more than two games in a row - 24 and 25, 27-28... With the results that were already presented above. Interesting, however in those second game (25 and 28) he allowed the most goals: 11 in two games. But still, the performance was not there. In the first game after a break (24 and 27) the performance was 53 and 77. Team played against: I did underestimate this question (was too much time consuming to do the research), but here are the results: So first 8 games were against ranked: #10,11,9,7,12,8,10,14 Next 6 games were against ranked: #1,13,3,9,2,5 We can definitely conclude here that the quality of opponent was better under the second sample... And if we remove those 1,2,3 and 5, both sample does looks quite similar with 3 goals in 2 games... However, the 53 Performance against a team ranked 13 still brings doubt to me. As for the game against #9 which appears in both sample: In the first game he had a 90 Performance score and a Shutout (game won 5-0) In the second game he had a 77 Performance score but we lost (0-1) Both games have quite similar statistics... (37-23 the shots in the first game) (36-23 the shots in the second). However, in this second game I do recall changing my tactics to very defensive... In the first game I was at Defensive. It might still be important to remember that my goaltender overall stats did increase from 62 to 65... Is that impact marginal or truly effective ? Is it a linear relation or an exponential relation ? I will try to give the goaltender more Icetime against lower ranked team to have more data on this. I think you brought a good point. However,I won't conclude on this as the 53 performance against a team ranked #13 isn't conclusive. I will get back with some more data...
  4. Just to add some more Informations... I have another very strong goaltender in my team.... quite similar in everything except this one is 63 Overall... In my last two games that he was in the net I have a 5-0 and 5-1 victory and he had 89 and 80 in Performance... Not sure what kind of change was done (between round 21 and 22), but it seems to have affected my goaltender - (Rubens Abrams) but not this one. Also, I am almost confident to conclude that he was the problem behind my teams underperformance as with the second goaltender everything seems normal (just like before). Would you mind taking a look at it ? Thank you very much
  5. 8 goals in 8 games versus 21 goals in 6 games... Heuh ?!? Houston we've got a problem, no ?
  6. Would you mind helping me look into this case: I am looking at two series of data relating to my goaltender and I feel like there is something odd wrong. If you look at the Performance of the first 8 games they have an average of 81.75 with a range of: 72 and 90. If you look now at the following 6 games we get an average of 56.5 with a range of 45 and 77. Here, I am talking about the same goaltender, which actually went up from 62 to 65 Overall during that time... So I am expecting that he should be better now than he was.. However, that is not what the numbers says. GOALIE GA GAA SA SV SV% SO MIN PER Round#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 3 3,00 25 22 88,0% 0 60 61 30#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 5 5,00 40 35 87,5% 0 60 55 28#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 23 22 95,7% 0 60 77 27#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 6 6,00 35 29 82,9% 0 60 48 25#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 2 2,00 18 16 88,9% 0 60 53 24#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 4 8,57 14 10 71,4% 0 28 45 22 #1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 29 28 96,6% 0 60 80 21#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 29 28 96,6% 0 60 78 19#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 3 3,00 36 33 91,7% 0 60 72 18#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 0 0,00 33 33 100,0% 1 60 89 17#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 20 19 95,0% 0 60 80 16#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 0 0,00 23 23 100,0% 1 60 90 12#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 30 29 96,7% 0 60 78 8#1 Ruben Abrams (G) 1 1,00 24 23 95,8% 0 60 87 4 So where's the problem ? My whole team would make my goaltender worst ? Drinking problem ?
  7. Alright, Mark your calendar, I will not be complaining... Well not completely As this Title suggest, I would like to make a suggestion/question regarding the actual system. Goaltender: Would it be possible to reduce the sensitivity of game results with respect to the actual relation of the dump and chase strategy and Puckhandling. Explanation/History : It has been a few games that one of my goaltender with low puckhandling was given some very low Performance Score, and as a result strongly impacted the game result. One of the cause could be the use of a dump and chase tactics. Exemple: Goaltender #1: Overall 62 Goaltender #1 puck handling : 48 - Strategy different than dump and chase : 45 Shot - 41 Save - 91.1% Goaltender #2: Overall 65 Goaltender puck handling: 53 - Strategy: suspected to be dump and chase: 25 shots - 22 save - 88% Proposition: I have many suggestion here, one could be something based on a relative system such that even a dump and chase strategy by a weak forward on a strong goaltender would not be as much effective as a stronger forward on a weaker goaltender. Or, even better... Why not considering the Defensive ability of the defensemen such that even a weak puck handling goaltender but with fast defensemen would not have to leave the crease ? I'm open to build/help with Mathematical formula if you are looking for a mathematician. Thanks
