Well, this season is off to an interesting start. Going into the first pre-season match we don't even know who our full team is and we can't control it. After being relegated, losing top players, and then having bugs put the Storm in the hole $7M we are struggling to pay our players. It's forcing us to rely on the depth of previous year's draft. This season will be a true test of the team's ability to face adversity. Looking forward to seeing who the league auto-assigns our team in order to fill our gap at defense. Probably some 65 OVR skater that will fight more than he actually plays defense...his name will probably be H.Gillmore.

I'm looking forward to this season.... This maybe the strongest team I've had since I started here....  Will be very disappointed if we don't at least make the promotion playoffs!. I Think we may have the team needed to move up....plus I will be seeing most of these guys next season as well . Good luck to everyone!

Anyone else having some injury issues? I'm off to a good start in the GHL, but my top two point-getters are both out for 8 and 9 days. And the player I called up to replace the first guy is hurt now, too.

Overall it seems like the injuries are back to normal, at least.  I just wish they didn't happen to me!

Currently 2nd in the BHL, and i feel like my team won't be ready for SHL. I'll be playing my yougster from now on, so i have 2 top veteran forward available for trade, also some older D are available. Looking for 25-30 years old playing at the same position, if possible.

You don't have to be afraid to go up. I promoted 3 straight seasons.
Just make smart moves on FA. Get picks for players you don't need. You get great drafts.
Tbh a team is never ready to promote without extended FA work.
I think I used about 4 players from BHL in SHL.

If you get the chance to promote just do it. Your team will always benefit from it.
It's a game take a leap

I understand your point and what you are trying to explain, but i feel different about how i run my team. I prefer to keep most of my roster from season to season, jut adding a few FA to plug holes, i don't like re-vamping. I got promoted twice in four years, (1st in league each time), and i already have taken steps to prepare my team.
I didn't feel that the draft would provide me good prospect, for my team, even if i finished 1st BHL. So i went and traded all my picks from this year to get other prospects that i wanted. Also the last 2 draft have been productive for me, and now i have a bunch of great  youngster with potential to play SHL, and all the veteran ready for next year BHL. Then, i should (hopefully) get to the SHL with some upswing left from those youngster having gained experience. I feel that if i promote this year, i'll have to get a bunch of FA, and won't be able to play the young guns, and their potential will really be hampered.

We'll see, but for now, i'm sticking to my plan, young guns playing (5) and who knows, maybe i'll get promoted anyway!

I have a group of older guys available for trades

Hope it will work out for you. Didnt mean to critisize you or anything.
I also am all about playing with you players. only 3 guys on my team are older than 30. Most in their low 20's

Cheers

Oh, that was cool, i knew you meant not harm! And using rookies is temporary, i know that'll have to add some good and better veterans later on, you know, once in the SHL.

Cheers!
