Bublik still going strong at 40 years of age. Even seems like he might be able to jump 1 ovr this season if on hard training!

Yes!  That is exactly what you should do, keep him as your backup and train him hard each and every night!  Especially against the Elite! haha.

I had an old guy back in Lumber about 14 seasons ago, I signed him in Season 19, he lasted until I resigned in Season 24, I signed him at 38 expecting him to be around for a year or two but was on my Top 2 Defensemen from the time I signed till 2 seasons before I resigned. He was still a solid player on performance in the SHL, if I wasn't so partial to loyalty I might have dumped him. But it was amazing that at 43, how well he could play despite his overall. The Fellas name was Josh Vezeau.

At the time I was Flabbergasted too, but he was a special fellow, good leader, He and my Captain Andy Dear were a huge part of why we got promoted from the BHL to the SHL.

This is incredible! The fact that he stayed wit one team his entire career is amazing in and of itself...but 44!? Wow!

While it appears Mr. Van-Rassel lost his edge with age...and maybe the use of his limbs....his age so far is a record. Anyone able to beat 45?

Got a man named John Grill on my GHL team in Lumber, he's 42 years old and still going strong with a 97 overall and putting 15-20 pts per year while being on the 3rd or 4th line. He played in GHL is whole career, maybe one for the HOF!

I remember John Grill. He was a great player. Played on my team in his mid 30s.

Waltzing is a Fine Player. Past his prime but I think he is still a fine player. Why don't you call him up so he gets a shot at a 1000 points, from what I saw in his stats he is only 2 points shy of the mark. If there is a Hall of Fame, he is a definite Candidate, he reminds me of the Great Bill Gadsby, just played even longer.

I have a guy named "Seb Jett"(43 years old) and he is legit a god. He has dropped a lot from being 94-95 overall, he is now 56 overall but he has been a major factor on my team. I still have him signed to a contract so that he can retire on my team, and so that he can retire a legend(yes my team is the legends and the pun was intended). He's been here since the start of Game World Howitzer.

Finally had to put John Grill on waivers at age 44. Total beast though, probably could still be holding his own even though he's dropped so many points so quickly.

So there's this guy that is nearly 50 years old in my game world.....surely a bug?

87 defense player with 55 overall rating lol ! sure he can still be useful for his defensive skills even if old. thats like in real hockey. some have skills that never get old whatever their age they are still good at it. i just had a 40 years old player that i could have signed again but i did not and he retired. if i would have signed him he would still play. i guess if you dont sign those old players they will probably retire. in that case with my 40 years old player , he dropped from about 90 rating to 78 in the last season so i did not want to keep him at the 2.8 million salary he was asking with a ghl contract... its a bit weird he was asking for so much considering the rating drop. otherwise i would have signed him just for fun and put him in aahl.
