I'm working on the Mitts restore and the game world has been restored to the last day of last season. I will try to get things going again this weekend. The draft should already have taken place though so simulation will restart from somewhere around mid day.

I've now activated som additional logging on the database so next time this happens I will have some more useful data to understand what the !"#€ is going on.

I haven't looked at all teams but came across this one.  The team has many duplicate players and is well over the cap.

This former 1st-overall pick somehow got out of his entry-level contract one year early.

After I discovered that, I realized that a player I just signed also became a free agent one year too soon.

My team (Bushong Hill Giants, GHL) also has many duplicate players and I'm $30 million over the cap.

I can't tell what caused this last crash or what is corrupted data from previous crashes. Maybe Mitts is too far gone.

I've ran some fixers to correct the duplicate players though.

I'm going to need a UAT environment that works and I still need to figure out what is causing this behaviour with the fast worlds. But I don't believe the current database can help me with this.

Would any of you be interested in a fresh start with a new database?

I'm down with whatever.

I'm going to preface this with a statement that I have no idea on programming, databases, etc. I wonder if some of the issues can be traced back to the short sim time in lightning world. I don't know the technical name, but the time the clock is orange. It seems to me that the longer the world tile. The longer the sim time. Maybe the lightning worlds need a longer time to get the database all updated. To that same line of thinking. Maybe reduce the expanse of the lightning worlds. Either by eliminating the LIHL or the non playable leagues. Maybe that'll put less strain.

I was anticipating this, a complete restart with a fresh database.  I'm fine with it.  We'll see if we can break the new database...only kidding! :)

Yes, I believe most of the problems is related to the sim speed and the database is under too much stress. However I can't find any actual proofs to strengthen this theory yet. Your suggestion would put less strain but it would be too hard to make these exceptions for one of the simulation speeds.

Well, it actually what I'm hoping for ;) With a fresh database I should more easily be able to find out what caused a crash.

Ok, I will create a fresh database in the next couple of days. This database will also contain some new features that I wan't to try out. I'll keep you posted.

I'm looking forward to test driving the new features and new database. :)
