Hi! We've just released MMA Manager. Unsurprisingly it's a MMA Management game, (think Motorsport Manager but for MMA). It runs on everything on iOS 8 and above.  We also plan on releasing for Android soon, hopefully within the next fortnight.

The core of the game is to run a fight team, recruit fighters, train them, corner them in fights and win championships while trying to get your fighters to the best leagues in the world.

Bit By Bit is just two of us and we've done a lot of simulation coding over the years on games like Black & White 2 and Fable 2 and 3, so the fighters, promotors and coachers are all procedurally generated and have unique looks, names, personalities and skills. So your experience is different on every play through.

Feature List

• An open-ended game in a simulated MMA world with 10 different fight promotions and at least 940 AI fighters.
• Wide range of procedurally generated fighters with differing appearances, skills, stats, martial arts backgrounds, records and personalities. Fighter appearances can vary in hair styles, colours, tattoos, skin tone, facial hair and cauliflower ears.
• All the characters have a clean comic book style to work with the procedural generation
• AI Fighters that age out, fight each other and move up and down the rankings as part of a full simulation.
• Complex fight simulations with a huge number of possible combinations of action that can make up each fight.
• Real world dilemmas like fighters missing weight, getting injured, and PEDs.
• Players corner fighters and influence key moments in the fight.
• Different martial arts styles affect what techniques fighters can use and they can learn new ones.

I'm really interested in what people on here think of it.  Given how experienced everyone is in playing other Sports Management games, I'm sure the feedback would be really useful.  We've tried really hard to tread that fine line of streamlining enough to make it playable in short periods of time with a touch device without sacrificing the depth that management games are known for.

To keep this up to date, our new build has been released today with various fixes and new features.  Including:

• Major Fight Balance improvements and fixes to make the fights more player friendly
• Fight booking improvements, now when you book a fight you can see all the possible opponent's stats to make a better decision on if your fighter can take them

The Android build is out now!  It's priced the same as the iOS version ($1.99 (US)/$2.49 (CAN)/£1.99 (UK)) and is for Android devices running KitKat (4.4) and above.

We've released a new update the Android version of MMA Manager (the iOS version should hopefully be out soon) and it's got its first Website review!  A Bronze award from PocketGamer - MMA Manager review | Pocket Gamer

Basically marked down a bit for needing some MMA knowledge and being text heavy, but has some great quotes like:

• "An MMA simulator as beautiful as the bloody and bruised fighters it celebrates, MMA Manager is nevertheless fun and well-constructed."
• "If you spend your days flexing your fists and practising your fighting footwork, this is the perfect game to liven up the bus stop."
• "Waiting for the next line of text to tell you whether your fighter has landed a kick or been bludgeoned is as intense as if you were watching the match in glorious 3D."

Still holding strong at a solid 4.8 stars on Google Play and 4 stars on the AppStore as well .

The new update contains:

• Metric Measurements Option so your fighters heights & weights are displayed in centimetres & kilograms.
• Explanation why your fighter may not be offered a fight.
• Fights changed to No Contest only when the winner fails a drug test.
• Players can now skip tutorial on subsequent playthroughs
• Miscellaneous fixes and improvements.

Keeping this up to date, our latest version is out now for both iOS & Google Play!

 

It's mainly focussed on behind the scenes improvements and bug fixes but we've also added Game Center achievements on iOS and Google Play achievements on Android that link up to your Gym Objectives and Interim Titles for when a Champ has vacated a belt (through injury, retiral or suspension).

If you've already completed an objective, it will be awarded the first time you launch the game.
