Rockies Trade:

2B - Alejando Selen (MLB)

OF - Jose Ramirez (MLB)

SP - Tyler Anderson (MLB)

CF - Jean-Paul Berger ®

C - Will Banfield ®

Twins Trade:

SP - Wilmer Font (MLB)

SP - Massanobu Mochizuki (MLB)

OF - George Springer (MLB)

We checked a lot of boxes on our offseason checklist with this one.  Strengthen Bullpen - Check, Improve defense - Check, Find CF help - Check, find a home for Ramirez since he does not like his current bench role - Check, all while maintaining good financial flexibility.

Font and Moch will add a nice dynamic nature to our staff where they will spend time in the pen and the starting rotation.

Springer gives us some CF depth after Revere spat in the face of our qualifying offer.

Ramirez and Selen are both in their prime and very productive.  They are good players and I hate to lose them but ultimately they don't fit what we are trying to build here in Colorado.  Anderson is a nice piece but he is heavily blocked at the moment.  Berger and Banfield are nice young talents that could make noise in a few years.

Rocky great negotiations!

The Twins agree to this deal.  We take even more away from our bulpen but we have a lot of young guy's coming up soon.

Ramirez will replace Calhoun, and Selen will be an option if Espinosa does not return next season.
