It's been done before, yes.  But if you see it, just report it because it's technically cheating.  Thanks for the heads up!

I think it's all intended. It stems from a reduction in training that occurred in a previous update that reduced player development to make it more realistic from top to bottom. This year's top prospects look a lot different than seasons prior as well as only the top few picks really stand out in the crowd of prospects. I assume that as the slower leagues progress it will be seen on that playing field also. Overall, I'm all for it - just may take some time for everything to plane out.

TheWeekKnights reacted to Paul T in Expanded jersey options
I think it would be cool to have some additional jersey options to give teams a larger sense of identity - and to expand from 2 to 3 color combinations.  I noticed at the jersey select screen there is a drop down for Jersey Type, but there is currently only 1 option, which leads me to believe there was initial intent for multiple options.

I was looking at all the NHL jersey styles and came up with the three styles below.

    1. Sleeve stripes + bottom trim+ shoulders (BOS, EDM, STL)

    2. Sleeve stripes + bottom trim + middle stripe (MTL, MIN, FLA)

    3. Sleeve stripes + bottom trim (CHI, DAL, VAN)

You could mimic other teams jerseys such as Detroit/Toronto by selecting option 3 and just choosing 2 colors.  The current design could still remain for nostalgic purposes and purists.

My Clapper team's. Problem is that I can't make ANY moves due to two things. First, one big contract did not shrink to SHL cap leaving me in a drastic hole And the other is what seems to be a glitch that still has a massive amount of money locked up in trade offers that can't dissolve. While I was sent a message that all my trades were no longer in tact, they ,in fact, do show up on the transfer page. Mike Ciccone (Colome Knights) even messaged me to see if I could cancel the pending contract because he couldn't. So neither sides of the offer can decline or cancel causing a cap deduction...in my case -$7+ Million

Yes yes yes, absolutely!  I think 3 seasons of draft picks would be even better, but more than that starts to get outrageous.  It definitely would open up a new trade dynamic and more risk/reward.

TheWeekKnights reacted to EXXEO in Colored Progress Bars
It's difficult sometimes to see how a player is progressing based off of the current bar system. One could take notes as to their last known locations and track gain and loss but what would be nice is a bit more simplistic overview. What if when you went to the player's progress tab you were then able to see one of four progress bar colors to show growth and decline. We could use the same colors (red, yellow, blue, green) as a foundation for this. Let's say that a player is increasing but at a slower rate at faceoffs then the bar would show as blue for slow progress while a different attribute on the same player could be increasing quickly and show a green color bar. Likewise, there could be a player that has some digression and his bars could look yellow or red depending on how fast those traits are decreasing. This would give a GM a better understanding in how their players are developing or decreasing and maybe even give a little insight into how training alters specific training rates.

TheWeekKnights reacted to Paul T in Injured Reserve
Been thinking about this more.  I'm for the IR designation, but also feel like it could be exploited.  For example, if you have a player on a bad 1-way salary, you shouldn't be able to put them on IR as a way around it.  So I'm thinking the IR spot works with some variation of the following rules:

    1) Player MUST be injured in order to put them on IR
    2) Player must remain on IR for a minimum of 5-10 days
    3) IR does not totally relieve the player's salary - a portion of it (anywhere from 25-50%) should still count towards the cap

I feel like that would give managers some relief without allowing them to exploit it.

Training can be a factor, but I've seen enough people complaining about excessive injuries to people with perfect fitness, especially since the last major update.  My brother had his entire top line out for an extended amount of time even though they were all fit.  That's just not fair all the time, even if it is unlucky.  Besides, no one really likes injuries.  The game would be more fun if IR could mitigate the effects of some of the more annoying ones.

I think it would be fine even if the IR minimum stay was 15 days.  The point of IR would be to reduce the effect of unlucky long-term injuries, not a place to put every player out day-to-day with a fatigue injury.  It would just eliminate a major headache aspect of this game and make it more fun, without giving each manager an easy out for every injury (which would be just as bad as no IR anyway).

Initially I was in agreement with the "it's your fault" comment... but after thinking more about this, an IR designation with a minimum of 5-10 days makes a lot of sense.  Injuries seem to be very random, and usually you can make some wiggle room by having a good amount of 2-way contracts, but if multiple players with larger contracts get injured, you should be able to call up players instead of being totally screwed.  Even if a certain portion of the players contract counts towards the cap while on IR, 10-50%.

This would be especially helpful for long term injuries.  I've seen a few 30-40+ day injuries, which can really crush a team.

Well honestly I was also already thinking about this and I don't think it would be bad idea. However it should be made like in NHL IL. If you put a player on the list he has to be there for at least 7 days. So basically it would be only for medium/longer term injuries which I think is right. Or allow put on the list players injured for 7+ days only.

I'm sure this was suggested before, but I would really like and need some kind of IR. I have only couple of thousands below cap space so in case of injury of 1w player, I cannot make any calls from AAHL and I have to wait for auto call which is not convenient in case of top line player injury.

Hi, there could be option to write message while rejecting trade offer. Or there should be more options. The answers when you're rejecting offer are so banal, too general and you have just few choices. It'll give us little bit more chance to continue with negotiation. And It's easier than write personal message.

Just to throw in my two cents that no one asked for:

    1. Everybody needs to calm down.  This is a forum for an online game, not a political protest.  There are plenty of ways to bring up an issue you have with the game without personally attacking people.  And there are plenty of ways to defend yourself without getting into essentially a yelling match.  I haven't ever seen this from the community, and I'm disappointed.  Let's keep it constructive.

    2. CPU trading, in my opinion, is pretty balanced now.  It's almost impossible to rip off the computer, and you truly have to give up something good to get something from one of those teams.  If it's not unbalanced in the CPU's favor, the trade is not going through.  Besides, you should have seen it a few seasons ago when you could give up 3 old guys who aren't very good with orange trade value and get a top prospect.  It's come a long way and I think it's a good part of the game.

    3. The game is still being developed, and it's certainly not flawless.  But it changes and grows and gets better all the time, so bring up your complaints in a way that makes people want to listen, discuss, and make those changes, and it'll improve more quickly.

    4. This isn't meant to be condescending, I just like the game too much to see people rip it to shreds.

i think I have players that have hidden traits that include "volcano-like explosive rage" because some of my players that are classified as more docile are creating some of the most horrid penalties. Posted below is a prime example: Benjamin Genest is a pretty easy going Defender that 'hates dirty hits' but I think he must store his anger deep below the surface and when it erupts creates massacres on the ice. I like this trait!
