Sometime this weekend, yes.

#46461 Cage trade page

Posted by Erzac on September 26, 2019 - 09:17 AM in Cage

I'll be entertaining offers for Jeremie Cline (C - 96), Hector Murray (D - 97), and Gregoire Wright (G - 96).

What I'm looking for in return/player is (at least) a package of:

-One player (~90) to fill the vacated spot

-One skater (85+)

-1st round pick

Most of the remaining roster is up for trade negotiations as well.

Best of luck to the teams in the playoffs, at least it'll be a different team hoisting the cup this season!

#40332 Season 2 General Chat

Posted by Erzac on July 17, 2019 - 04:04 PM in Cage

ha!  Yeah, I've been on RL vacation for a few weeks so not very active here, but have been wanting to ask you what is different this season?!?!  Plenty of time to turn it around, trust me!

Welp, the biggest issue I suppose is my starter getting injured for 17 days. And my backup... at this point I can only assume he has misunderstood the term "goaltending" as guiding pucks into his own net.

Even still, I feel I'm having a streak of bad luck on top of that. After the injury, riding the backup, the team has gone 2-0-4-9. Wright is a big factor in the team, sure, but there should be enough quality in the team to pull off a (much) better record than that even when he's out.

But I still have my mind set on another cup run - will be all the more satisfying after climbing from the bottom of the standings.

Every damn game is a one goal loss now. Frustrating.

At least plenty of time to still turn it around.

#40137 Season 2 General Chat

Posted by Erzac on July 05, 2019 - 10:00 AM in Cage

Cats are having the worst cup hangover, playoff MVP Wright decided to extend his summer vacation by 17 days, and the offense is unable to put together more than two goals per game.

Oh well, maybe it's just a page out of St.Louis' playbook on how to handle the regular season.

St. Thomas Stray Cats complete the reverse sweep and take home the inaugural Golden Cup.

Congrats, Erzac!

Thanks!

Really couldn't have asked for a more exciting series. The slumbering top lines finally woke up for the 5th game to bring it home.

#39723 Cage trash talk

Posted by Erzac on June 06, 2019 - 02:51 AM in Cage

It is certainly an enjoyable run - the Union is a strong team that directly counters my playstyle, so while we will fight until the last drop, it is a tough matchup.
That said, my team was built to win in the next 3-4 seasons, all key players are signed long-term, and I am impressed with their play (and balls) this year. The offence has been dominant throughout the entire season. If we fall here, I will still consider it a success.

Oohhhhhhhh.  Well this is awkward.  We are also planning to win in the next 3-4 seasons.
Of course we first need to figure out what those balls are that you speak of.

You both can rest easy, for the 'Cats are built to win *for* the next 3-4 seasons.

Congratulations to Erzac on a good series. Every game was very close and decided on one goal.

Cheers. A much more even series than what the wins show. Could've easily been a sweep the other way.

The Cats have clawed back to the 2nd place in the East - down to the last game if we can keep it.

Some feline team will finish 2nd anyway...

#39435 Cage trash talk

Posted by Erzac on May 17, 2019 - 04:16 PM in Cage

Erzac - how do you continue to bait my team into penalties.  I remember our GHL/SHL playoff series from Biscuit where I took 50 more PIMs in a 3-game series.  Now in Cage over 4 games the PIMs are 44-20.  Something about the Stray Cats send the Leopards into a rage.

Simply a territorial dispute - Leopards can't handle Stray Cats wandering into their zone.

#38814 An extension to the 20 day trade lock rule

Posted by Erzac on March 18, 2019 - 05:11 AM in Suggestions

If FA players keep appearing they are devalueing players we currently have.

This. Any sort of FA spawning should be kept to minimum, and timed at one certain point (start) of a season.

The most frustrating thing is when you acquire a player in a trade, and then see a better one magically appear in FA a day later.

#38777 Cage trash talk

Posted by Erzac on March 15, 2019 - 02:02 AM in Cage

The West is currently smoking us Eastern teams in inter-league play.

This, of course, is just a mere side-effect of not having the Eastern felines meet any Western teams yet.

#38614 [SOLVED] Acquired Draft Pick still belongs to original team

Posted by Erzac on March 05, 2019 - 04:00 PM in Solved Bug Reports

To add to this as the other team in the second trade - the draft pick I traded is back in my possession, whilst I still also have the player I acquired as well. Something is indeed not right with trading picks.

Edit: As a possibly related side note - the picks still appear under the name of the previous(unedited) team in the trading screen.

#38590 What are your teams like?

Posted by Erzac on March 05, 2019 - 03:32 AM in Game Plan Hockey Manager

Oh man, your own of the two teams in Cage GHL I considered to have an insane start. You got 3 of the top 6 players generated and they seemed to max out with 8 Mil salaries which is insane considering 90 overall players ask for 7mil. Not to mention they are all in their prime years! Even your bottom line players are average relative to everybody elses bottom pair.

Yeah, my only concern is the defence, which averages out with a rather low OVR even with the 97. Without Murray the D is just weak.

#38581 What are your teams like?

Posted by Erzac on March 04, 2019 - 05:10 PM in Game Plan Hockey Manager

The team is a three-man show. The trio of Cline © - Murray (D) - Wright (G) should be something to watch.

87-96-85

84-85-84

81-86-84

82-85-83

97-87

85-84

82-86

96

84

Hoping to still find some depth in FA. As the team currently stands, any injury would hurt a lot. Can't complain with the three superstars though.
